    Boxwood question

I posted about needing some boxwood over in the classifieds section but haven't had any responses as of yet. I was wanting to know if there is a wood that is almost as stable as boxwood and also light colored. I have a defunct molding plane and was thinking I may be able to use the wood from it. Looks to be sycamore, judging from the rays. Would that work?

    Ryan,
I have a very nice billet of Turkish Boxwood. about 8 pounds worth. Drop me an e-mail with you mailing info, and the size piece you need. E-mail address is in my profile.
