Please pardon my frequent posts regarding the 2007 Desert Woodturning Roundup. This will be the last one. I promise.
There will be an informal social Friday evening at the sports bar across the street from the Mesa Convention Center (MCC) next to the Marriott. It should start around 5:00 pm and end whenever.
There will be an informal swap meet in the parking lot of the MCC on Saturday, after the last round of demonstrations and before the banquet. Originally, we had thought that the swap meet could be part of the social Friday evening, but several people said that they could not make it Friday. Please note, the swap meet is not intended to compete with many vendors who are helping sponsor the DWR. The idea is to give people a chance to swap items like truckers might swap hats at a truck stop or boy scouts might swap badges at a jamboree.
Lastly, the weather is supposed to be nice with forecast highs in the mid-70s. Bring your warm weather clothes, but please, no thongs! The folding metal chairs in the demonstration rooms might be cold!
