Ron, great progress! Also, thanks so very, very much for the fantastic dialogue, text and pictoral of the project! Almost like being there and extremely helpful. BTW, you do a great job on your photography and Web site, as well! Two "thumbs up"!

Thanks John and Roddy for the feedback. Since this was a project that I was doing for a friend I thought hey, wouldn't it be fun to let Ed know how the project was progressing and what went into making a cabinet. I think it was as much fun for me as it has been for Ed to see his cabinet being made. Then I thought about the folks on Sawmill Creek and knew that there must be several people who would like to see the progress as well. If you are like me, I love to see pictures! Thanks again, Ron
Well, I had 3 spare hours this evening to get the doors cut and glued up. They went together rather quickly and came out square. I used 1/4" x 1/2" tenons. Additional pictures and process notes are on my WEBPAGE. Ron
This morning I got started early on making the 2 sliding trays for the lower cabinet. They are relatively easy to make and install quickly. Tomorrow I'll finish up the major construction with the completion of several adjustable shelves. There are some additional photos of the sliding trays HERE. Ron
Ron, what software did you use to make the measured drawings on your website?

Very nice work!
I'm looking to build a Studley/Peerless style chest that I can take to the job site. Your chest helps with the motivation.
I've cut it twice and it's still too short!!
Well, the cabinet is nearing completion. I've finished the adjustable shelving and am now installing the doors. The Lower unit doors are attached. Several more progress photos are HERE. Ron
Ron, nice job...Enjoy your pics and project reports..Good website also

THE CABINET IS FINISHED! I completed the final construction and trim today on Ed's Cabinet. Final delivery and setup to come. I'll post final photos when I get it delivered. Total project time was about 44.5 hours. Total project cost was $209. Since Ed was going to paint the cabinet I used pine and inexpensive plywood. The full progress report is HERE. Thanks for watching. Ron
Nice progess, so far. I hope to build me a tool cabinet.
Very nice Ron. I have enjoyed this thread.
