Question Mono crystaline vs Poly crystaline Diamond stones?

    Hi All,

What are the pros and cons of the two different types of diamond sharpeners? The Norton uses the monocrystaline diamonds. The DMT uses the poly crystaline diamonds.

    Thanks

As luck would have it I just read about this in Lee's Sharpening book (a must buy, if you don't already have it.)

Mono's are more expensive (he says) by about double, and last about twice as long on a stone.

Lee likes the mono much better.
