Problem Following Links In Posts

I'm having some trouble following links to pictures within posts. When this occurs, I am already logged in to SMC (I am able to see the Welcome message in the upper right corner.) However, when I try to follow a link to a picture in one of the posts, I am taken to a page that again prompts me for my username and password. I haven't experienced this problem before with similar forums using this type of software and I 'm wondering if anyone can offer a suggestion to correct this. I don't have a problem when the picture is in the post as either an attachment or a thumbnail.

I think it may be a cookies issue. I read your reply from a different computer and can now see the inline photos on those threads where I only saw a link before. I will go back to the other computer and reset all the cookies I can find for SMC (which I thought I had already done) and see if that fixes the problem on that computer. If not, I will post another message here.
