quick question - poly for inside of clothing drawers?

As the title says, can/should I use poly (Minwax wipe-on poly) for the insde of my drawers, which are going to be used for storing clothing? I know oil is a no-no, but wasn't sure about this poly.

    Thanks!

NO! You'll never get the poly odor out of them. If you've gotta finish the inside of the drawers, just use shellac. It'll seal everything, and dry odorless.

No, no, no. Just wax them - two coats.

The Minwax Wipe On Polyurethane IS oil based varnish and it's a no-no for interiors. Shellac, lacquer or water borne acrylics are your best bet if you want to finish the insides of something including drawer boxes.
