Lobo Bandsaws

Anybody have an experience/knowledge of Lobo bandsaws? Seems like a decent deal depending on quality of course. Has the vulcanized tires, cast fence, and brake all for $1049 . I assume, based upon price, that these are Asian made.

Hi Kevin

If if were me, I'd look at Grizzly, Rikon or Jet. The Lobo price isn't good enough to entice me to take the chance with an unknown vendor. I know that the above mentioned vendors WILL answer their phone if I have a problem. Not so sure about Lobo. I had a problem with a new Rikon, it was resolved in 2 days. That's worth something.

I have no personal experience with Lobo, but they have been around for over 15 years that I'm aware of.

I use to get their catalog. It was a well illustrated catalog but it was loaded with spelling errors so much so that it turned me off even when I was putting together my shop. But, apparently, they are still around.
