Win98 Users...

I was visiting a friend in his office today and he was bouncing off the walls thinking about having to upgrade to ac2004 to keep from loosing his thingy with them...he made the same statement that you have.
He had recently bought 5 new computer systems that came with XP Professional in them...the statement he made to me was....tomorrow...outcomes XP and in goes 98se in all of them and I'll never by another piece of software from Autodesk.
He has two laptops in there that have Linux in them....says they're a lot more stable than Bill Gate's junk and is looking for a good cad program for Linux...if he finds what he wants, then he says...well, just let your imagination run wild with the comment on Bill Gates :-)

I believe that if you look again you will find that Microsoft backed off of that announcement and gave Win98 another 18-24 months support. I can't link you to that new announcement but if you do a search you should be able to find it.
