Talking Montgomery County Woodworkers's Guild Meeting

    Greeting SMC!

This Saturday March 24th Montgomery County Woodworkers' Guild meeting will commence at Jeffry Lohr's shop at 9:30 am.
The first 20 minutes will be an informal meet and greet followed by
demonstrations and discussions over the next two hours. Jeff be
demonstrating some curved form production techniques, home workshop
friendly methods of wide stock milling and shaping, and Denise Palko
will be demonstrating her Fine Woodworking ultimate milling sled that
promises to working face, flatten and mill stock up to 13" wide on a
small bench top planer, (no jointing or hand facing necessary.)
Also, Bill Boltz, a used hand tool collector and dealer will be there showing some of his collection and some items for sale that folks might have an interest.

Jeff has extending this invitation to other area woodworkers he knows in the region to perhaps have a good turnout for the March 24th meeting and also with the intention of building our group's ranks a bit. Jeff has
enough parking for about 18 to 20 cars but if anyone could travel together, it would be appreciated, as he would prefer to keep cars
off his grass and out of the pasture. Also this is a working farm with livestock so please keep to a 5mph speed limit back the lane to my studio at the rear of the property.

If anyone needs directions please send me a PM.

Hope to see some new faces
    Tom

In honor of David's post, I recommend that all meeting participants stop at Texas Roadhouse in Royersford on the way home.

There's no Royersford in Texas is there?

    BTW, we're in PA.

Oh, man....I want one of those closer to me...the yeast rolls are "outa this world"...

Oh, and for folks not familiar with Jeff Lohr, he's a very fine maker and also does some teaching. Shaker/Craftsman/A&C/Nakashima influence...what's not to like about that?? http://www.jdlohrwood.com/
