    Tool Box Just Completed

Just a few pictures of a tool box I built this week to carry some tools to a woodworking class I am attending in Waco, TX in 2 weeks. Red Oak and Walnut (anything I had in the shop), BLO inside and Polyurethane on the outside. 600 grit wet dry and Paraffin oil for the rub out. Still waiting on the hinges, latches and a leather handle to arrive.

I hope you have a clean shop. That is way too nice to put in a dusty one with lots of sawdust! Very, very well done. I love the architectural elements you added to it.

Very cool. I'm looking to build something similar for my Akeda jig and your project gives me some inspirational ideas.

    Nice work.

    Plan

Ralph, I hate to admit it, but this is from an on-line plan. If I had to build it all over, I would make it much lighter. Probably reduce the wood to 1/2" and make the molding an integral part of the box. Like most woodworking plans, it is over kill for the amateur.
