    Lacquer over poly

Is it okay to apply laquer over polyurethane?
Also, what would the application procedure for brushing on lacquer be?
Any hints or tips on applying laquer?

I have experience spraying lacquer at school, but this will be the first project I've done at home and I don't have a compressor or spray gun.

    Thanks,
    Stephen

    Poly over Lacquer. YES.
It's a vintage trailer thing. If ya gotta ask, ya won't understand.

In my experience, lacquer will stick to polyurethane, but tends to fish eye on the first coat.

When using brush on lacquer you will want to apply it to horizontal surfaces only as it will tend to run. Make sure you apply it in a well ventilated space.
