    Handrail Router Jig

A little over a year ago I was presented with an opportunity to make some custom handrail fittings. Richard Wolf was nice enough to email me some pictures of his Scheer router jig, and I built a router jig based off of his photos(lets not tell Scheer, though I am sure they would just laugh at my version). Anyways, I am finally posting pictures of my results. Although I would do it differently next time, the contraption worked and allowed me to rough out the fittings.
Thanks again to Richard for his help.

Just what the world needed...another use for roller blade wheels in woodworking!! LOL Nice job on your jig...it couldn't have been easy to conceptualize and build. I'm in awe...

Thanks for the attaboy - it was indeed challenging. Who knew you could make something that worked with some roller blade wheels and a stack of bad welds?

Very impressive Todd. Making wreaths is always a difficult job, one which I try to avoid, but sometimes I can't. Well done.

Thanks Richard, and thanks again for the pictures that were my sole inspiration for this jig. I would carve it from solid blocks if I had to do it again, but it was fun while it lasted.

That is simply the SHIZZ. I really enjoy it when I get to see people's custom made machinery.
