Great piece Kolton! That is some awesome looking wood and it's one fine goblet. Man, that finish is sure good too! What is the finish you used??

Your mom is going to be so proud(er) of you! Great work!!!

    Thanks Everyone !!!

You guys are great and I appreciate the comments ... My son has read every one of them, several times! He keeps running into the room to see if theres more .. lol.

Getting a lathe for him is a great idea. Might have to check into getting a mini, be a good excuse to get another lathe

Jonathon the finish is Seal-A-Cell. He put it on while it was still on the lathe, gave it a good soaking for about 10 minutes and then kicked up the speed and wiped it with a paper towel until it was dry to the touch. He then buffed it with White Diamond and carnaube wax. I wasn't sure how well it would work without letting the finish dry first before buffing but it looks like it worked great .. It sure shines.

    Thanks again everyone ...
    Kolton says Thanks too,

    Awesome Job Kolton!
It's Great that you decided to make your Mom a gift, much more special than a store bought gift!
    Keep on turning!

Kolton that is a fine job. Mom is going to love it. Kick old dad off the lathe and practice. Keep'em coming.
