Conway AR excitment today???

I'm OK.....it was 1/2 mile from where I work..!!! and our building was in direct wind direction from Detco. They finally close the entire Acxiom Conway Campus and closed off interstate exits to those areas as well as closing off all back roads to those areas. Everyone will remain evacuated at least until tomorrow morning. There were 20 different chemicals in the plant and all in large quantities. The smoke and "smell" travelled all the way to Little Rock (25 miles as the crow flies). No fatalities at this time but there are injuries and a LOT of people out of their homes until at least tomorrow.

Dennis, I saw some footage of it on the Local News this evening.........looked like it could have been MUCH worse than it was.............I guess Terry wasn't turning after all!
Sure is good to hear that there were no fatalities, and even better news to hear that you and your Family are OK...............1/2 Mile from your Workplace..........now that is TOO close for comfort.

Yea, I'm really glad that it wasn't worse than it was. It COULD have been a LOT worse but the EMA and local law enforcement done a really fine job of containing it all and keeping people like me safe. Never seen a few thousand people leaving work so fast in my life..!!!
