    Waterborne Acrylic

I was given a quart can of acrylic WB finish made by Deft. What are its merits? Does it hold up well and would it look ok on furniture?

Water borne acrylics are pretty much where the industry is going in many respects due to tighter VOC regulations, etc. The product you cite, while I haven't seen or used it, will likely work nicely as a top coat for your projects. Do note that you generally do not get the coloration that oil-based and solvent-based products provide when you use most water borne products (there are exceptions), so you'll want to take that into account in your first steps for finishing if it's important to you.
