    Turning Green Wood Question

I am in the middle of turning a bowl that is green and my wife had things for me to do. Being green will it hurt to leave it overnight or will it warp? As you can tell I'm sort of new to turning bowls.
    Thanks,
    Ken

Usually I will put a plastic bag over it because depending on the wood and the amount of time it is left it can crack. I left a partial turned bowl for a few hours and came back to a chunk of firewood.

Also if you are bagging it take the chuck or the face plate off of the lathe or in can rust the inside of your morse taper. Don't ask me how I know that one.
But yes plastic bag it. I am in the desert and if I am going to be away anything over 20 minutes I bag it. Other climates may be more forgiveing.

Try your best not to leave green turnings at all. Even bagged a 30 min lunch break will make a difference.

Ken, I don't know where you are located but here in west Tennessee, you can wrap it in plastic and leave it for 12 hours or so but I agree it is best to complete the piece.
