    Pecan Bowl

Actually I'm not sure it's a bowl, but it's round and it made it to finish. Good enough for me. 8.75'' wide 3.25'' tall antique oil and paste wax. The form looked good in my mind but now I'm not so sure.

Your sanding and finish look superb and the curves are smooth and continuous. Nice job!

Cory that is a fine looking bowl. Curves are nice and the finish is great. Nice job.

Great looking little bowl! It has some nice stuff happening in the grain! The shape is also very good... you mentioned that you don't know if you like the shape - I'll give you a hint. The shape might be a bit more pleasing if you made the base a bit smaller... like 1/3 the size of the rim! That would make for a more delicate shape! It is funny how a shape will seem to change after it comes off the lathe! This happens to me all the time... I think you did a fine job on this piece! Great work!

Cory - looks good to me and as far as the form - we all learn as we go! Make sure you post a pic or 2 of your next bowl and have fun with it!
