Finish that I can dip small projects

I am looking for a finish that is easy and quick. I want to dip the project into the finish and hang to dry. The project is laser cut or scroll saw cut ornaments.

I can spray if need be or brush but I think the dip and hang will be quicker.

I do not have a proper spray booth.

    Ed,
Buy a can of Zinsser shellac at the local hardware or Borg.
Hang the part from a bent paper clip and dip.
Part should dry in 20 minutes or so, reapply as necessary.
Simple, easy, its protected furniture for literally hundreds of years.

I have never done it so I am not an authority. However, I would be worried about the finish sagging while still wet with the end result being a thin coat at the top and a thick coat, even with possibly a cured "drop" on the bottom.
