    What's the turner's secret?

Okay....you folks have been great about sharing turning "secrets"....so how do you manage to get anything else done?

SWMBO saw that vase as we delivered it yesterday. On the way down the side of the mountain as she was "curling" her toes (She's a dedicated flat lander and mountain road drops off cause her to curl her toes in ways that are unnatural) she said "that was nice ....I would like to have 3 more"

Today she said......."That vaaase was nice......I need 3 more before July 16th..." I asked if that was a hint......She smiled and said "It wasn't meant to be subtle either..."

12 couch/chair legs to go and now 3 vaaaases before July 16th......

How can you get anything else done?

Be thankful - things could be worse. She could decide that you need to dig holes and carry rocks

Tell me about it, Stan! LOML is a high school teacher out for the summer. I'm having trouble figuring out why I have so many Honey-do projects just because she is on extended vacation!

That's great Ken! Just think how much better of a turner you will be on July 17th! Practice, Practice, Practice!

Hey Ken look at it this way as long as she is giving the marching orders and it happens to be turning why are you complaining. I would just answer yes dear.

    Such a problem!!!

Wifey is chaining you to the diving board to turn blanks into something beautiful. So when is that Oneway coming so she can turn on the Jet?

By the way, that vaaase was beautiful, especially with flowers in it.

The only down side I can see Ken, is that the shop is not going to get finished any time soon.

    Turn on!!!!

    A slightly similar dilemma

Seems like every week someone tells me they're felling a tree and asks me if I want anything. So on Saturday when I could be turning, instead I'm out chainsawing. I've got so much surplus in turning stock that I could take the next two months off and spend every day turning, and still not deplete my supply. It's hard to refuse free wood when it's good stuff!
