    Quick and Cheap drying rack

Since I have a lot of spraying to do for my bathroom cabinets, I figured I'd better build a drying rack but didn't want to spend too much time or money. I used 3 2x4's, 6 10' pieces of 3/4" pvc pipe and some scrap plywood. The PVC seems like it will be plent strong unless the panels stick out too far. If I have any panels that large, I'll slip some 1/2" EMT inside the pvc for extra support.

Got one just like it with 1/2" dowels. Quick, easy, cheap and effective.

You will like it, a lot.

I also have one very similar to that and it does work great and saves a ton of room. Laying panels everywhere takes an incredible amount of room and is a pain. DAMHIKT.

I don't have quite the same amount of space, so I made one that is folding, with the "arms" only on one side (with the legs). I was a bit concerned that pvc wouldn't be strong enough, so I used rigid metal conduit, after buffing the endges on my grinding machine. The rack has worked quite well for me on three projects so far.

I ended up having to grind a 3/4 forstner bit down a bit to be a tighter fit on the metal conduit, but I had plenty of spare sets laying around.

Your's is a great solution, and more stable, if space permits.

Do you have problems with lines in the finish or do you just spray one side at a time?

The WB products dry within 20-30 minutes so no problems if you wait that long between sides.

I've got 36 panels leaned up against everything in my shop right now, I want a rack like that but can't take the time out of this project to build it...
