    AAW Symposium Pictures

I just got back from my first AAW symposium and it was fantastic! Here are a few pictures from the demos and vendor area:

    Alan Lacer: Skew Master

    Jimmy Clewes: Colored Platter

SMC's very own Reed Gray: Bowl-Coring Systems
This is the only session that cost me extra money. He made it look so easy, I bought a McNaughton system after the demo.

An old man's dream machine: Gary Sanders on the new Oneway 1236SD

    Mike Jackofsky: Hollow Turning

Mike Mahoney and Stuart Batty attempting to make a bowl together

Trent Bosch bending wood for his Vessel of Illusion demo

If you're interested, you can see the rest of my pictures here.

Your pictures are excellent. What camera are you using?

Terry, I'm shooting with a Canon 30D. All of these shots were taken with my 24-105mm f/4 lens. The lighting was pretty low in the demos, so people could see the screens. They didn't allow flash photography since they were taping all the sessions, so I had to bump my ISO way up to 1600 on many of the shots.
