    Black gum natural edge

First of all fellers, the platter I posted the other day is black gum not sweet gum, I just found that out. This is the other half of that crotch piece. Measures about 8 inches or so and about three inches high. Antique oil finish.

865 miles southeast of Steve Schlumpf.

Very cool piece. The contrasting colors of the edge and the rest looks terriffic and I love the finish. Nice work.

Great bowl Mike with great contrasting color. It's a beauty.

That's a beauty Mike. The shape kind of reminds me of the old metal tractor seats. The crotch wood sure has some nice feathering in it.
