    Black gum natural edge

    First of all fellers, the platter I posted the other day is black gum not sweet gum, I just found that out. This is the other half of that crotch piece. Measures about 8 inches or so and about three inches high. Antique oil finish.

    Very cool piece. The contrasting colors of the edge and the rest looks terriffic and I love the finish. Nice work.

    That's a beauty Mike. The shape kind of reminds me of the old metal tractor seats. The crotch wood sure has some nice feathering in it.

    Very pretty piece Mike. It has a nice delicate look to it and the NE really sets it off. Very nice piece!!!
