    When Travis and I crossed paths in Tennessee last summer we took advantage of the occasion by both taking out our teeth, loading up on a full pouch of Red Man each, gargling with a gallon or two from a recent batch of Moxie; turned off our hearing aids, and jawed all afternoon about regional absurdities. We understood each other perfectly.

    I didn't say it was easy!
    As long as I could catch about every 2nd or 3rd word, I could piece things together.
