    Another "WHAT IS THIS?????"

    My aunt cleaned out her shed and told me to take anything I wanted.

    "This" screamed out take me so I did, not having a clue as to what it was/is. Any ideas???????

    That looks like a leg vise to me. You can go to www.woodworking-magazine.com and do a quick search. You'll see several examples, the best one is probably Christopher Schwarz's roubo bench.

    Yes, a leg vise for sure. Installed in a bench like this.

    no relation, just found a good photo.

    I'm sure there's some value in it. Old wooden threaded vises have a lot of appeal.

    Looks more like an OLD Bench Dog to me. The holes could be used for adjusting the height and the screw holds the wood down.
