Thread: Stanley Mitre Box 460: Parts?

Question Stanley Mitre Box 460: Parts?

I'm quite new to all this. Over the weekend, I bought a Stanley 460 mitre box along with the 30-inch Disston back saw (thing is huge). I had to decide quickly, so I just sprang and bought the pair.
Took a closer look at it today, and it's missing some screws, the top stabilizing rod, and some of the set screws are broken. It's fascinating to see how all the parts work.
Any idea where one can purchase replacement screws and other minor parts? Thanks a bunch.

Contact Stanley. It's surprising to me sometimes what parts they carry for things they haven't made for some time.

    Take care, Mike

I made up the top stablizing rods (bars) for my #358 out of mild steel from the local borg.
