Spalted hackberry: shallow bowl or deep platter?

Here is a piece made from Spalted Hackberry Crotch. I am not sure if I shoudl call it a shallow bowl or a deep platter! It is 15" in diameter and 1 1/2" tall. The finish is Deft Gloss Lacquer.

    Honest critiques welcome!

    Very nice, Curtis!

And I would definitely prefer to call it a deep platter. Somehow that just sounds sexier than shallow bowl.

I made one from Ash, about those proportions... called it a 'charger'.
    Absolutely beautiful piece, Curtis
