    Wow! What a finish!

Well, not really lol These were ordered to be finish carved by the buyer. Who am I to argue! I'll post these now and show the finished carving work when he gets it done At least I got them together without breaking anything but my lathe lol

Personally, those are some of the worst looking pens I have ever seen!
Couldn't tell if they were pens or bar bells!

I too am waiting in hushed anticipation for the finished producy to be shown. Carved huh, never thought to do that, hmmmmm.......

What did you break on the lathe? I like the shape of those. I have lots of pens that look like that .................................................. .......................................when I start out.

    Pens

It said in the post "These were ordered to be finish carved by the buyer"

I would like to see the finished pictures of the pens after the carving. I am sure they will look nothing like any we have ever seen turned on a lathe.

Will be interesting to see what they carve into it, this may start a whole new way to make pens. Just wish I could carve, it sounds like a great idea.

The guy does some really great carving work. Of course most of it's turkey related, but WOW! I'll definitely post pictures of his finished product.

I broke the lock down handle on the tail stock, Bobby. Finally got around to replacing the whole tail stock this morning so I could get these pens 'kind of' turned and ready to mail.

I'm going to need to warn him about how thin the wood actually is on the tubes so he's not breaking it off. But I'm sure he'll do great at it.

Does that carver have the initials DC? Because if it is I am definitely looking forward to seeing his work. Some of those other turkey call carvers are pretty good also, but DC is a master.

Hey there Marvin. No it's not DC, that would be very cool though! This is SH. He has got some things posted on that site too.

Yes, it's Steve. They're both amazing. He wanted to give something new a try. I hope it works out. I just wish I had half their talent (actually I'd settle for a smidgen lol)!
