    Two pens of "exotic" woods

Exotic to me anyway...the first is "Lignum Vitae" and the second is "Honduran Rosewood". Both turned so nicely but I didn't like the way the lignum vitae clogs up the sandpaper. The picture doesn't do the rosewood justice. It has the most beautiful grain and luster. I've done about 40 pens and this one is my favorite so far.

Great pens Tim. I like them both. Very well done.

    HI

    The pens are very nice.

I like turning Lignum but as you say it clogs sandpaper very quickly, I use a plastic brush to clear the sandpaper, it is a bit like sanding hard soap.

If you leave the Lignum pen out in day light it will turn from that brown colour to green and it will also bring out the grain.
