Hair spray on cabinet doors or other foreign matter

I have a client who has dark plywood doors maybe oak ply. High end house. She thinks that its hairspray but could be something maid spilled on it. It dried a semi translucent white. When picked with her fingernail it kind of spread it about. It also has three runs in it ,so I'm doubting its hairspray.Maybe a cleaning agent. It doesnt look like whatever it is that it ate into doors.
Stain is dark, clear finish is satin.
What can safely we wiped on it to try and remove it without damaging clear coat or stain.

    Mineral Spirits?

    Thanks

Has she tried 409? Any of the spray cleaners? That should probably be the first attempt.

No she was worried about damaging it but I guess Poly,Lacquer or Varnish can all handle that right?

Those shouldn't harm the finishes, but it also probably should not be allowed to sit on the finish for hours on end.
