    MP3 Editing

There's a wealth of knowledge here in the Creek and I can't find the solution elsewhere.

I like to listen to podcasts on my cellphone which is also an MP3 player, but if I can't listen to it all the way through at once, I can't hear the end of it. The phone doesn't allow for fast forwarding within a file. The podcasts are typically just under an hour long. I can't fast-forward 20 minutes into the podcast, I can only go to the next file.

Is there a way I can quickly break a 50-minute podcast into 10 five-minute files or something like that?

Here is a link to the Kim Komando website. At the bottom of the page is a link to the software.

    John,
Chris has a good one...and here's another free program that should help you out...I fooled with it a while back but went to Sony VEGAS to include DVD production.

Thanks a bunch. Now that I know it's called splitting, I can find a bunch of programs that do it.

I knew someone here would know the answer.
