My weekend started last night (Gloat) since I'm now on a 4-day work week. Had a craft show today, first of the season. Not a bad day - made about 5 times rent, so I'm happy. Left the house at 6:30 a.m., got home at 7:30 p.m. with take-out dinner. I'm tired.

As for Saturday and Sunday, I have 5 laser orders on the hook, with about another 5-6 pending receipt of art or materials. Also need to work on the finish on some polymer material I'm experimenting with for a potential client for pens. Having a not-so-good experience with it, so need to do some more experimenting.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Took yesterday off and sighted in all the deer rifles. Today it's up to the woods to check on all the stands and do some light trimming for shooting lanes. Rest of the day will be doing what SWMBO has lined up for me.

Instaling PALS on the Contractors Saw, installing Bessie fence aquired from the Lowes, dial everything in, cut wood OR honey-do list... CRAP!

    GOOD MORNING "CREEKERS"!!!

What is Wo-Zha-Wa and is it anything to worry about?

Wo-Zha-Wa is a celebration started 40 some years ago by the owners of the various establisments here to thank their summer workers, who for the most part back then, were college kids. Now the summer workers are from foreign countries.

Found out it is a Ho-Chunk phrase meaning "to have fun"

    fyi.

Aw shucks, I had to uncrate my new Powermatic 15HH planer. Ya, the one with the Byrd helical cutterhead with 98 carbide individual insert cutters and 3HP Motor. Ya, that one. Tough job but someone had to do it.

    This thing is FANTASTIC!!

    Howdy Karl,

Well, I've made it through the round of layoffs at work and am still employeed.

No real woodworking until Sunday evening late as I play bass this Sunday at church. I'm trying to teach myself Jazz style of bass playing and it's a challenge but I'm liking it.

I have completed the veneering of the curved table ends, have the edge of the tabeltop cleaned up and sanded and will be building the rest of the skirt for the table Monday.

    Have a great weekend.
    Thanks & Happy Wood Chips,

You got it Keith. I was wondering if anyone was going to ask. My wife is 100% Ho-Chunk. They used to be known as Winnebago's, which was given to them by the early French settlers. Ho-Chunk is their ancestral name meaning "People of the Big Voice". The name change happened about 10 years ago.

Spent the last 4 days on Winnibegosh, a large lake noted for record muskies, but we were after mostly walleyes this time, lake had 30+mph winds and temps low enough to have it snowing one day and frost on the boat windshield one morning.

New boat worked great and we actually even caught a few walleyes and threw a few musky baits for a bit.

No shop time or cleaning, but while I was gone they have installed the new siding on the house and after seeing how they installed the dryer vent, I'll install the rest of the stuff, so no shop time for a bit.

And maybe finally get the storage cabinet out of the garage and into the house...
