    "OATS" Segmented Pieces For Show

I have had these in various stages for a while, but I have a show this weekend, so I have been cleaning up and finishing what I can. There are a couple of my latest blank variations in there.
It's late, so I will take more pictures tomorrow, but I wanted to show off a little (as usual).

    Thank You Terry,
The finish is a water based poly. I got a sample in a plastic container (like Chinese takeout), so I don't even know the maker - but I WILL find out!

Nice work George! Each piece is unique and has a great shape and finish! Really like the vase on the far left!

    Bill,
Are you actually the past world championship gurner, Or is that purty picture of someone else?
    Richard:
Oats IS horse food, but MY "OATS" is an acronym for Off Axis Triangle Stave segmenting. I use that to shorten the description of the segmented blanks I make. The reason I bother to designate them in that way is that when a shape is applied to the blank, there comes an illusion of rotation.

One would think it should be a whole bucket of "OATSS" then.

That should be Gurner, with a cap. G and No just for the month.

George I like your OATS, very nice. I have a friend that makes laminated lamps I have been thinking of trying your method for that.
