I know, I know; boo, hiss, metal working.
Does anybody know of a good forum for metal working? I am really impressed by the good vibe and positive input here on SawMill Creek. How about a similar site for metal?
Thanx

My dad hangs out on a site called Metal Meet or something like that. Both Hobart and Miller have forums too. It sounds like Metal Meet is more of a community type forum like here, but I've never checked it out. I've spent some time reading the Miller and Hobart forums and they don't seem as friendly as here from a casual visitor's point of view.

homeshopmachinest is much more friendly to hobbiests than practical machinist. Hobart weld talk is the place for welding questions. None are as cordial as sawmill, but are informative.
There are only a couple other forums I've found that are as friendly as sawmill - the bigger one involves compact tractors.
