I had my kids (5&7) write down their list for xmas, told them I would send it to Santa. Left it setting in the Kitchen yesterday and my son asked why I hadn't EMAILED it yet!

In the past few years my daughter has been emailing Santa herself. The only nice thing is when you email him you get a response back. Sure beat when we were kids and just had to believe that he received it . Wil

We mailed a letter last year for our 5 year old and the post office sent a letter back from the "North pole".
From what I read they take a portion of the stamps that are used and donate the money to some charity.
Our son was so proud that he recieved a reply.
I agree. There is something concrete about opening a real letter. You could also put the souvenir in a scrap book.

Most of those letters are sent to North Pole, Alaska. Yes there is a North Pole-- a small town Southeast of Fairbanks. School kids and volunteer workers read the letters and respond back. You can contact them and they will also send a letter to a child for a small fee.
