    Exclamation Ridgid jointer/planer JP0610

I am thinking about getting the Ridgid jointer/planer combination. It is within my price range and space requirements. Does anyone know anything good or bad about this tool? Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am just getting started working with wood and I have a limited budget.

i have both and they have worked well for me so far. it's been about two years since i purchased both of them and i've only had to change the blades on the jointer twice because of accidentally running a screw over them. these machines are for dressing wood and therefore do not need to be top of the line. of course, an extra 2" on the jointer would be nice and i'd love to have a 20" planer for those really wide glue-ups but it all comes with a much higher pri$e tag.

I have had one for since 2001 with no complaints. When the blades get dull, replace with with higher grade ones.
