Trying out my Dad's now my Davis & Wells shaper.

Here are some pictures of trial runs on the old Davis & Wells shaper run in pine to learn how to set it up for making frame & panel doors. This is the first time I've had this machine set up since I got it from Dad. Runs & makes the cut in one pass no problem.

I sure makes a mess I see a DC correction happening soon.

Is that a 1" spindle, or 1 1/4"? Get lots of cutters? Mostly steel? Did you get a broom too???

    Hi Todd

Its a 1" spindle I only have the one set of carbide cutters for rails & coping & the panel raising cutter. I have several steel cutters for the Craftsman shaper which has a 1/2" shaft.

Well I had a broom but I couldn't keep my balance when I tried to ride it.
