LP or natural gas? If you have LP (and enough gas in storage tank), you likely have a bad regulator at the tank or at a secondary regulator. Usually the burner flame will ignite and then slowly fade away if the regulator is bad or your low on gas. If you have natural gas call the gas company and explain the problem to them.
