    See through NE bowl

This is my first attempt to a NE turning. A few months ago I got this limb of something can't tell what it is and now I decided to give it a wack. As you can see it was full of worm holes and I kind of liked them. The sise is about 3" to 4" tall and about 3" in Diameter, I better messure it but it is small.
    Thanks for looking

Hey Alex, I think your bowl has worms.

Neat looking piece. Good job on the thickness for your first natural edge.

    Alex,

That looks like Swiss Cheese Wood !

Very nice. The rings on the side are really striking.

    Cool !

That is a great little piece. You ought to hire those worms. Some people spend lots of time and money piercing thier pieces that don't come out as nice as this!

Thanks guys, it was interesting to turn. I might make the companion to it since I have a section of the log left.

Alex, that is one amazing looking piece of work. I'd definitely go for the companion!

WOW! My first thought was "he hollowed a piece of swiss cheese!" Reeeeeally neat! It would go great with beer if it were cheese.

I'd hate to see the size of the worms of carpenter ants that did that!
