Here are five pens destined for Christmas gifts this year. The one on the left is a Red Bud Burl cigar and the remaining four are all mahogany - a Cigar, Elegant American and two slimlines.
I received the red bud burl in the Dirty Turning exchange held here last year. My wife really likes red buds in the spring and this pen is going to her. This was my first time working with a burl blank and it took quite a bit of CA glue to keep it together and fill in all the voids but in the end I think it came out looking great. The pictures can't capture all that goes on in this.
