I've had this one back burner-ed for awhile , a small table to hold a display stand I built her a couple of years ago.
This is the mock up , the lady really has a hard time "seeing" things in drawings so mock ups help flesh out her needs , some what , She can change her mind in 20 minutes , some times !
Anyway it will be 1/4 sawn Red Oak , 4 legged with a radius-ed front to the top and lower shelf.
I've lower the lower shelf once , thickened the upper rail once from 2" up to 4" . The height overall was copied from the square-ish top of the table she's using now to hold the stand.
We started out with three legs but that was to tipsy , so I added a front centered sort of leg .
I think we got to where we can start building today with the design. Should be a fun table to build , we'll see how it goes and how much interest is here for caring the thread forward. Who knows ?
Stand with existing table ,
Three legged prototype , with narrower top rail ,
Leg added , thicker/ wider top rail ,
Down view , I had to make a top with a 3 1/2" , (she though she might like that for thank you / Christmas card displaying ), wider reveal at the front , she liked that for about 10 minutes then we went back to the view your looking at . It just would clutter the Hummel viewing anyway.
God ,design is so time consuming!
