    Finally! Sled question answered W/PICS

    Wooo Hooooo, It works! No more wondering. With four inches yesterday and four more last night, there is ample snow for testing. We don't see this much too often. Some places here in NC received as much as 12-15 inches.

    Are you really going to use that baby??!!!....That would be the cats meow of sleds, but it's to darn pretty to use...

    Hmm, walnut runners I believe but I can't figure out what the wood on top is. Nice looking sled, however!

    I think the deck is ambrosia maple. If not, change it so I am right, OK?

    Chris, way to make the most out of winter. The sled looks great. It looks like you used a hand saw for the rear handle design. Nice touch.

    Yep, I'd guess that, too. My local woodcraft sells that stuff for like $2-$2.50 a foot. It's cheap, and I think it looks really neat.

    Thanks for the comments. The wood is walnut and ambrosia maple-Tom was correct.
