    Art Deco Font

Okay, I'm struggling with a customer's request for a font. It's for an inlay job, so some of the stuff they want, I have denied due to the complexity of the font (you know the fonts that have the vines and flowers all around them). Second round, they picked a font. Nice looking font that I'll have to purchase (no big deal), but they wanted their initials and the font doesn't look right with 3 capital letters on that font.

So I sent 3 suggestions of really nice looking fonts that look good as 3 capital letters in a row. They were nice and curvy fonts.

The response I got back was "can you find something more art deco".

Okay, apparently I hung out with the wrong kids in school because I have no idea what "art deco" means when describing a font. Any one got any ideas what an art deco font would look like?

Got it, we're all set. I think it was Harrington that was the final winner. Thanks for the offer Frank, I think we're all good now.

I've certainly heard of Art Deco before, but just never had anyone tell me a "Art Deco font". Well, I should be honest, it was said "Art Deco-ish" It's like saying "Pick me a warm looking font". Huh?

He's happy, so in turn, so am I now
