I'm looking to purchase a new bandsaw and think it will be either a Laguna LT16 or a Laguna LT16HD Classic. I'm interested in knowing from people who have used either (or both) whether or not it is worth the extra money for the HD.

I wrestled with the same decision about a year ago. Decided the HD was worth the extra money. Actually the two are barely comparable. The HD is 110 lbs heavier, has an extra 1.5 hp, and 4 3/8 inches more resaw capacity. The 16 HD is a beast of a saw I couldn't be happier with.
