I used to have a benchtop moticer but had to sell when I moved. I thought that I would just go back to doing mortices with the router. I decided to give the master beadlock kit, from Rockler, a try. This setup is very well thought out and easy to use with good instructions. I only got the 3/8th part but am now going to get the 1/4 and 1/2" parts also. They all fit in the nice plastic case. I've only done one project with the kit so far. I added a foot on each end of a 4' melamine 11" wide board. I put two mortices in each end. The joints are fine for the bookcase in the closet. The fit is quite good in the joint, too. I may have found a partial solution to locating that most elusive and rare "putback tool". FWIW
