    Craftsman 12" drill press

I’m in the market for a new drill press and, being a weekend warrior, I’m thinking benchtop.
After reading all the threads and researching, it looks like something around a 12” is in my price range and needs.
I like the Craftsman 12” drill press with digital depth readout, item #21914. Reading the threads of those who have one, they seem pretty satisfied.
But, it’s been very frustrating; Sears has been out of stock on them for 3 weeks now, no telling how much longer I’ll have to wait.
    My question is:

Is this drill press too tall to fit in a flip-top table? I can’t find any dimensions and the store doesn’t have one in stock. Can someone who has one tell me how tall it is?
    Any other comments?
    Thanks,
    Jim

I wanted and liked the bench top for its compact size. One think I learned is to make sure that the quill stroke is adequate for what you need. I had the 10in Craftsman and it was a little workhorse but the problem came in when I was drilling pen blanks. I couldn't make it all the way through them.

Hopefully they get one in stock for you!
"I cut it twice and it's still too short!"
