    Ripping Phenolic Plywood...

I plan on making some Board Buddie hold-downs for my TS fence using some phenolic plywood I bought from Woodcraft (I got the idea here on SMC!). What would be the right type of blade to use on the TS to minimize tear-out on the (very expensive) phenolic plywood (3/4")?

    Thanks!

    Hi Ed,
I have some from Woodpeck that I bought for making jigs etc... I've found the higher blade count & ZCI are fine with it. I think the blade I used last on cutting it was a 60T maybe.... might be 80T....
FWIW, I really like the phenolic BB ply. I have a 1" thick piece that I'd itching to use for maybe a router table top.

    Cheers.

Edward, I've used the same stuff and cut it with a standard 40 tooth blade-can't recall which one though,it was either the CMT General or the Freud combo. Smooth cuts with no chipping were the results. I'm going to Woodcraft for their March Madnes sale on the 1st and will probably get a piece of each, got some jigs to make you know.
