    anyone using rottenstone

A fellow turner in Columbia had some very nice bowls on exhibit and when I asked him what he used to finish them, he said that he first sprayed them with Deft lacquer (satin finish) and then polished them w/rottenstone and dishwash detergent. Any of you out there try that method??

Yes, I used it on the square platter I posted a few weeks ago. Makes for a beautiful look. I also used pumice stone #2 and #4. I did it on a laquer finish. When all was said and done I took the beal 3 wheel system to it and that was the icing on the cake.
