    another "learning" experience

    i came up with a slightly different way of raising panels on the table saw that doesn't involve using a sled by first attaching a 5" high auxiliary fence on the fence and then clamping another 5" high box-like fence to the left of it. it works great except that the cutoff can shoot out into your thigh and leave a nice fat bruise! i'll fix this in the future by attaching another spacer to the top of the second fence so that there's more clearance for the cutoff piece.

    Here's how I do it. The magnetic feather boards catch the cut off pieces so you don't get hit with them.
