That's and impressive looking tool Bernie. I've been considering that same setup myself for my DVR since I looked at their web site a few weeks ago. Hope you get well soon, and let us know how you like it. Ron

    Great tool, Bernie!

I hope you guys all got a flu shot this year. When I get one of those bugs it realy lasts. Hope you avoid that expierence. Randy's tools are works of art. And from the production Steves been getti'n out of his, very much worth the money.

Thanks. Yep Bryan we have sick leave that you can carry on till you retire. Some of these guys have over 2000 hrs of sick leave. Yet they come in hacking, coughing and sick.

Yes Robert I got a flu shot and still got it. I heard on the news the shot they gave is not for the strain going around. Oh well.

I will give everyone a report as soon as I can.

Congrats Bernie..and Steve too!. I'll be keeping an eye out for a reveiw from you guys. The tool loooks fantastic. I'm just wondering, does Randy put some kind of bearing in the holes where the arms mount together?...Bill..

William, I read somewhere that he uses either 6 or 8 heavy duty bearings. That is probably the reason for the smooth movement. If there is a weak point IMHO, I would suspect the bearing would also wear first from the torque of HF turning, but I'm guessing they will last quite a while. Can't wait for a full review from Bernie or Steve.

ps. Bernie, hope you get well soon!

I had to take it apart and look at the bearings Randy used in this rig, (I have this need to know...LoL) the bearings will last a life time. Maybe a little grease once every couple years but that's it.
